ICU Audio is a collective of 5 forward thinking bass music producers / DJ’s who each have an individual style and approach to music yet maintain the same ethos. The aim is to create a blend of all music soulful, a limitless sound.

Established in 2009 by a close group of friends, driven by passion and powered by years of study and studio time ICU Audio receives support from many established DJs, producers, UK and worldwide.

2011 saw the launch of two ICU Audio Radio Shows, Sub FM and Rood FM which works as a platform to share new music from ourselves and the people around us with the world!

L2S Recordings Release

Rowl and Demon (Macabre  Unit/ M.U.D) go in on the Future Garage tip  in their  début release on Whistla’s label L2S Recordings.

Review: This new split single from excellent future-garage label L2S sees grime pioneers Macabre Unit go up against fellow UK producer Rowl, with doubly devastating results. Macabre Unit’s “Clockwork” is simply brilliant – a stripped down burner with a crisp, Blawan-esque 2-step drum pattern, deep basslines and a slowly rising four-chord pad sound, all mixed together with huge amounts of tension. Rowl goes for a more murky sound with “Think About You” – a complex and deep banger with a worming bassline thread through dubby atmospheres and crackling drums.

A lot of  heads talking about this one and I hear a release is on its way. N-Dread Delivers Oceans eleven, it is a step ahead of the rest,  progressive bass heavy music teamed with a beautiful vocal this one will make your soul sing.

ICU Audio has always had a reputation and been associated with future thinking bass music. With this release, we’re pushing a dirtier dance floor vibe that’s set to get any party moving. Expect many more releases on a similar vibe in the near future.

Our first release features tracks from Anex (Nottingham) and Rowl (Milton Keynes) entitled Delusions and Resolution. Delusions is set at 140bmp and fuses a blend of repetitive rhythms, shattering synthesis and gut-rumbling bass to deliver a massive dance floor track that gets the toughest of crowds going. This release was dropped and rewound numerous times by the ICU crew at Outlook Festival 2011.
Backing this huge track is Rowl – Resolution. Some could say that this track blends the ICU crew into the new ‘dungeon’ sub category. The melodic intro lulls one into a false sense of security which ids quickly followed by massive synthesis production and inspirational arrangement. The clean beats, low sub bass and neuro funk style synths are guaranteed to blow up the dance every time.
WHERE/WHEN
ICU Audio are currently releasing digitally on Junodownload. The release date for ICU001 is set for 21st November 2011.

N-Dread F.O.E

 June 2011 saw the  release of  N-Dread’s Drum and Bass EP, Flood of Emotion.

Really pushing his production skills to the next level and delivering this complex and emotive EP, N-Dread shows us exactly why fellow producers have so much respect for his work.

Track one, F.O.E is a fusion of melodic bass and layer upon layer of perfectly time percussion, the ideal set up for Track Two, Deems. Eyes low for this one, N-Dread goes in hard with chest plate bass and a sound that will engulf your stereo.
